How do Pretend Current Date and Time work?

Pretend Current Date and Pretend Current Time are purely to alter the Web User Interface. You can change the Date or Time, or both. This will allow* or disable* certain date-based features in the Web UI such as buttons for Waitlist, Registration, Drop and Withdrawal.

If no date is provide the system will default to using TODAY. If no time is provided it will default to using the time when the site was loaded. This feature only exists in the Test and Staging environments.

Pretend Current Date can be used to test Registration Window Message and is used to determine if you are currently in an active registration window*, but Pretend Current Time is ignored by the registration window RFC.

* - Be sure to enter your Pretend Current Time before selecting an Academic Term from the list.
